fuel specs

Post by USmoke517 »

Hi guys, im new to the moke world but i have a basic question. but first a bit of info, i am replacing my electric fuel pump on my moke with a universal facet pump. My question is, is there a standard fuel line pressure for all mokes? If so, what is the pressure? I need to know so that I purchase the right pump.

thanks in advance.

Low. Around 5-6psi. Facet make a FEP-12SV that is suitable I believe. Too high and you'll have fuel squirting out of the float chamber on the carburettor.

Thanks. Yeah that helps. I have the option of purchasing a unit that can do either 1-4psi, 4-7psi, or 7-10psi. Looks like ill be going with the 4-7. (if I go by your advice). Would that be a safe assumption?

Search for "Facet" on the Mini Spares website (http://www.minispares.com) and you will see several models listed with suggested applications for each.
