I've escaped the hotel room now. Drifting around the Pyrennees at present - 3G dongle ensures I can avert my boredom .... again Saw 2 Meharis today.. one rough looking beige one with what looked like boulders in the back and one baby underpants blue one with flashy white interior an hood..... I must get one to run around in out here mind you.... Mehari owners don't know how easy they have it.... plastic bodyshells - I ask you!

Re: The Official Website of IMM 2013
OK folks, Its that time of year were we have to start making plans for next years trip.
Plan A, We meet at Gandspatte campsite(Calais) on the Friday afternoon, this is a day earlier than we normally start, this is due to the distance involved .
Saturday 11 May, Drive from Calais to just south of Orleans 308mls. Camp or use a b&b I know some of you don't like pitching tents for just one night.
Sunday 12 May,Orleans to Millau 304mls camping here for 2 nights. Take in the sites of the gorge and its famous bridge ,plus some of the best cheese in the world.( my opinion maybe not yours We can discuss this over some wine later)
Tuesday 14 May, Drive from Millau to Nice 295mls ( Monaco area) Camping here for two days take in sites of Monte Carlo's famous coast road .Unsure what is happening in Monte Carlo as its only a 10 days before the grand prix . My only advice is polish your mokes, you never know you might get your moke on telly.
I was thinking of making this a meeting point for all the people to join together, as some people cant get enough time of work to do the whole trip.
Thursday 16 May Drive to the IMM 270mls.
As you can see the mileages are not small ,but we did them last year and had no problems . I have travelled these roads many times and the roads are good.
I understand most of the Mokes will be travelling back on the train. If you need any info on this I'm sure Tony Freeman can fill you in . Myself and Kate have decided to stay in Italy for an extra weeks holiday .
Plan B leave Calais 9.00 Wednesday drive straight to IMM !!! gps says its 1041mls and it will take 1 day 7hours no problems for Denzil.

Now I look at it again... not a patch on a Moke actually Why would you spend that sort of money on a Mehari when you can have the real thing

Hi
Steve, Kate,
We are also staying on for the extra week as the train doesn't leave until Saturday. Coming back by train means I don't have to put my Moke on your trailer! also Kate will find where all the naturist beaches are.
Tony

Tony, could you provide details of the train journey? We might be able to make it if we train both ways
