Well, hopefully with copious amounts of your favorite penetrating oil, you can have the square headed adjusters turning easily.
If you can't get 'em moving, you could have someone tack weld a nut on them. It'll give you a better "bite" to turn them and the heat shock might help free them up.
Once you get the drums off, turn 'em a bit back 'n forth to get an idea of what they're doing....
