Hi all

After some weeks without activity, restoration starts. First of all cleaning and inspecting after 15 years in a barn. Not so bad

Impossible to find the VIN number or a body number.

Regards

When I got my Moke it looked like it was painted with a roller. (refrigerator white) I actually considered just painting a bunch of black spots all over it and calling it "cowmouflage"

And Pilonix, I've seen far, far worse brought back to a high standard. Have fun with it, take lots of pictures as you progress.

I wonder if it'll be ready for the 50th?

I don't think so.

The "camouflage" colour scheme is absolutely "unusual", we could say :D :D

My idea is painting it in a military colour, I doubt between satin green or satin grey like the Army one. First of all will be the floors. I will try to find them no very expensive, and then will see.

Hi Pilonix,

Sorry, I've only just picked up on this thread.

Gee mate, it's been in some really bad accident at some point eh? Shocking repair job too, but I've no doubt that you'll sort it and get the steering wheel back on the right side once again

(nice project, looks like most of it is there, and I do like the Mini GT wheels on the front ;))
Old Mokers never die, they just smell that way.

Hi again.
The process continue.

Options:

1.- Sell it for parts and forget the project
2.- Restore it and register it again
Any suggestion?

Re-build it, register it as whatever you feel like, go out in the Spanish sunshine and ENJOY it. Unless you want some sort of concours show flower it doesn't matter :D

Totally agree with Nigel! In my experience, and others, if it says Moke on an official document.....that's the last thing it is!! mine is classed as a 4 wheel drive utility...just get it going and ENJOY!!

Totally agree with Chris and Nigel. Rebuild it, enjoy it for what it is, a Mini Moke. My Aussie is registered as a Leyland 4x4 Utility .
