Saturday night Barby
The Club committee has kindly agreed to fund the meat etc. for the barbeque for the Saturday night. There will be meat, bread, salad and some cakes for afters, but if any of those attending could bring things like nibbles (crisps, nuts etc.) and something to add to the cakes i.e. deserts? (a little like we did at the IMM in Kent last year) that would be a great help.
Looking forward to a great event!!
Cheers
Chris and Steve

Hi All,
We have orders for 8 tee shirts now, they will be grey with green printing similar to the 'Keep Calm' tee shirts but with wording specific to the event.
We need to get the orders in by 3rd July to ensure we get them for the National. Please include size requirements when ordering.

Hi Steve, Its all on page 2 but here it is.
Campsite is at
Knotlow Farm, Flagg, Buxton Derbyshire SK17 9QP
E-mail : enquiries@knotlowfarm.co.uk
Webste: http://www.knotlowfarm.co.uk
Enquiries to Margaret on 01298 85313 or 0797 400 8615

We feel it better for you to book in yourselves but do mention you are part of the Moke Club group and they will put us all on the same area.
Electric hook ups are available and they also have Yurts and Tipi’s on site – see the web page for details. B & B is also provided but the some of the rooms they have may already be booked.
Also available on site in the evenings are made on site Pizza’s and in the mornings bacon and sausage baps!
Steve and I will be on site from Thursday afternoon to set up the club tent and gazebo so if you want to come early there will be someone there. We will be staying Sunday night as well so we can take down the Club tent on the Monday morning.

PLEASE ensure you tell them that you are part of the Moke Club Group when booking!

Initial thoughts on agenda for the weekend are:-

For those arriving Thursday – perhaps a local run out on Friday morning.

Friday afternoon/evening – meet and greet and either into Bakewell for something to eat or perhaps Pizza’s at the camp site.

Saturday – trip out in the morning to Crich Tramway Museum where we can display the Mokes on site in front of the old Council house. For those that want it we can take a look around the workshops, a trip out on a tram will be available and then lunch on site.
A run back to the camp site through the Peak District is planned with a barby early evening.

Sunday – Local trip to Speedwell Caven, a boat trip into the caves is available for those who want to join us. Afternoon, back to the camp site to pack up for those leaving.

There is a pub about a miles walk away.

Local B & B’s / hotels are available in Ashford and Bakewell, try on Booking.com or lateroom.com i.e.:-

Ashford in the Water
Ashford Arms
Riverside Hotel
River Walk B & B

Bakewell
Rutland Arms Hotel
The Manors Hotel

Tideswell

Horse and Jockey

Nearest B & B is Coatsfield Farm at Parsley Hay, Buxton SK17 0BD

Hi all,
Couple of things for the National.
If you want to book somewhere for an evening meal for say Thursday or Sunday night we have been recommended the Bulls Head at Monyash (not far from the camp site) but booking is advised tel. no. is 01629 812372.
We shall be leaving the camp site at approx. 16:30 on the Friday afternoon for a 1 to 1.5 hour run ending in Matlock Bath for tea (there are fish and chips, pizzas etc. available at various establishments).
At the camp site there will be available the following
Breakfast Bap (2 bacon, 2 sausages & egg) for £5
Bacon buttie (4 bacon on white bread) for £3.50
Various pizzas at £8 each
All can be ordered at the reception.

Cheers

Thanks Chris. Helena and I are aiming to get there mid afternoon on Friday. We're staying until Monday so will book at the pub for a meal on the Sunday evening - probably for about 7pm.
Looking forward to what sounds like a great weekend
