Hi All. problem solved. When I got the Moke, about 4 years ago, the rear suspension had been rebuilt by the previous owner. having had the advisory on our MOT about the hand brakes. I set about trying to fix it. Finally sorted it today. The Bell Cranks ( on the Swing Arm ) that turn the cable through ninety degrees, where incorrectly installed. This made a difference of approx. 2 -3mm. Turned them round, and hand brake and rear brakes work a treat. Thanks to everyone who offered advice.

I think that's the wrong part number. The 13" wheel one seems to be AYK5786. AYK5786 is for a little wheeler.

GT, thanks for letting us know. I did actually briefly consider just that however for some silly reason I was under the impression that it was the wheel end that was found short, not the lever end!

So, we'll be seeing some spare cables go up in the For Sale then?

Hi Tim. Thanks for the part number info. I will pursue that one.

Hi Spider. The spare cables are destined for Flyboys Aussie Moke. He is doing a rebuild this winter, and he has offered to help with the winch bracket ( see, Electric Winch on a Moke)

Once again thanks for all the help.
