You're daughter probably knows how to turn it off.

Mine have an adjuster to increase rear space - it's called a 1/2" socket - makes the seats fall out altogether

I do not fold mine down and tilt them forward (gives quite a bit of room)
as the rear seatbelts floor section goes between the back and the sear and is a b@gg@r to put back in.

I got some new braid, but...what length are the pieces? And how to attach???? Glue? Construction adhesive?
Just not to bother the sheep, eh?

The braid "weaves" through the slots that are in the top lip of the front panel and is then fastened at each end with a pop rivet. You just cut off any excess (if any).
Later (Cagiva?) front panels did away with the braid and used rubber buffers instead. I don't think the later panels had the slots in them either.

I had to fit a new front panel and as dean says the ones available at the time didn't have the slots in them. I ended up cutting a series of slots in the landing panel ( 2 drill holes and a lot of steady filing with a small file) You then thread the braid through, take it out again because you went through the first hole the wrong way, and when it's right pop rivet the ends using a washer to secure the rivet
The braid will certainly be over long and will need trimming back.........a bit like shearing a sheep really :D

Ahh but what is the right way?
A mate and me replaced our braids at the same time but found we'd both done it the opposite way to each other. I wasn't convinced either way was "wrong".

Well,.....and this is my opinion only,.... If it's the wrong way the last part of the braid is on the inside of the curve and seems to " short cut" down to the rivet point. I think it should be the other way round

P.S. With apologies to those of you who haven't had the pleasure of replacing their braid yet and cannot understand :D

Thanks for those replies! Now I will look at that in a whole new light! Where did I put that braid?
