Looks like the rumours were correct! The venue has changed!

This from the IMM 2017 committee

''The organization of the IMM is going extremely well, but due to phenomenal demand we have had to reconsider the venue in Piltown, Co. Kilkenny. We have made the tough decision to relocate the event to Westport House, in Westport, Co. Mayo. Approximately 4 hours’ drive from any of the ferry ports, It is situated in the beautiful West of Ireland and it is a magical setting for what will be a fantastic event. Please see link below for some accommodation options if required http://www.destinationwestport.com/
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused. If you have any queries or questions in relation to the relocation of the event please do not hesitate to contact us at here on ticketsales@imm2017.ie or Info@IMM2017.IE''

Westport is approx. 158 miles from Dublin or 220 miles from Rosslare.
Bit difficult for those that have booked B & B's etc.

Hi all

I've just had the email you've all had and i've looked on the map ! Looks like a bit of a trek and I guess we'll all have to reevaluate our driving times to and from the Irish ports eh? :D

Yes I'm on the 14.30 so up with the sparrows Monday morning. As you say Chris it looks like a great place, I've had a good look today on the internet.

I hope others won't have to much bother if they've already booked B&B.

Helena and myself visited the Westport area a few years ago when we went over to Ireland in our MG and it's a lovely area so it will be good to visit again. We are planning to spend a few days in Ireland before the IMM in May and had everything booked. Fortunately Helena had booked through Booking.com so managed to cancel the Piltown accommodation and book something in Westport.

Hi All,
I have had an email from the organisers asking the Moke Club to provide them with some info so that they can allocate an area on the campsite for us as the campsie is tight on space.
So can I ask those going to let me know the following:-

number of people going
number of Mokes going
number of tents
numbers attending but not staing on the campsite
Number of camper vans and trailers
number of caravans
number of gazebos

So if we want to have a club area big enough for us all please let me have the info asap. I have to let the organisers know by the 10th April.
Either let me know on here or pm me.

Cheers
Chris

I'll take that into double figures - one Moke, two of us but no tent we'll be staying in the district not on site. Sean.
