Moke Restoration Book

Post by 1967moke »

Just an update, the new Moke restoration book, entitled Moke: Just Restoration will be available early March.

The book is complete and in the final stages of proof reading, and I hope to send it to the printers next weekend.

Its 192 pages, with most of the Moke history removed, and additional restoration features included over and above the previous edition of Mini Moke: A Comprehensive Guide to restoration, which this book is based on.

Please contact me directly if you are interested in a copy, but I am awaiting the final pricing information.

Thanks

Make sure you buy one for collectable value if nothing else.

What's the first edition worth then? Would it be worth even more if it was a signed edition?

Well done.

What about placing an advert in 'Moking'?

BTW Ever thought of compiling a "Moking for Dummies" book?

It could have a BIG trouble shooting section with suggested solutions.

It could include references to the 'breakdown' wires and what to look for, with solution, along with other common issues.

It could have tips on how to do certain operations, not quite the 'Restoration' book or a 'Haynes' manual but somewhere in between.

Maybe a sub section on this forum 'Tips for common and not so common problems".

Apologies if people have not had a reply, I was sure I replied to all the emails and messages.

The book is now with the printers, so I expect it will be about 2 weeks before they are delivered.

I will let you all know when its available. I'm sure it will meet all your expectations. This edition has a laminated cover, so ideal for an oily garage!

You will need to let me know if you would like it signing!

Cheers

Arrived yesterday, Thanks Roy.

A great wee book. Now, to find a project and chat to the sheet metal workers at work...... :0)
