Citroën have done it! Where is our Moke?

Freewheeling banter.....anything goes as long as it's clean and nothing to do with Mokes.

Citroën have done it! Where is our Moke?

Post by janz »

I saw one of these on the road yesterday - it looked great, driver and passenger had 'Moke smiles' on their faces!

A future vehicle in UK

Available in France for €25K (or €1990 down, and €178 a month over 3 years - 30K kms) - think it will sell well actually. One I saw was more 'trendy' beige - like old Mehari.

Where is our new (not Ming) Moke???!!! - or... do we really want one? What do you think?

Mini teased us with their "beachcomber" concept years back, but it never got anywhere. I believe the lack of anti-intrusion protection in the sides killed it.

I'd still rather have a Moke :)

My 'English crap' decided to give up the ghost for the 4th time in 6 months last week - LR Disco 4 decided it was Christmas once again, and illuminated its mutliple combination of fairy lights and spoke in cryptic messages like 'Reduced Performance' I'll buy it some blue pills shall I? and, 'Stability Control Disabled', Emergency Braking Assist disabled', 'suspension lowered for safety'.... and then followed by a 20mph crawl home in 'slammed' mode 8) The usual fix, as advised by LR garage, of switch it off, have a cuppa and then try again did not work this time :o even, having a meal, plenty of pop and a good night sleep didn't fix the b*tch either :x . Slow crawl the next morning in 'Low Rider' mode to the 4x4 specialist - dumped on forecourt... 'fix the forking ting!!!!!' I guess the D4 is preparing for Brexit! oopsssss  no politics here of course

On the way home in the shopping trolley with SWMBO.. drove past the Japanese Crap garage.... RAV4 arrives on Friday  I'll get me pipe n slippers ready. D4 will go on 'LeBonCoin' as soon as sorted. I will miss the old girl though. Love driving it, but that constant feeling of pending doom just got too much for me.

Not seen another one of the French jobbies though... seems Citroën will only make 100 a year to avoid having to comply with Airbag requirements

My real car is a Rav4. Its had 16 years of abuse, done approximately 340,000km and has never had a spanner to the engine. It has been unbelievably reliable. Boring as they come, but totally reliable.
