Engine number plate color

Post by pbraun »

I just found my original engine number plate!
Got the correct twist rivets and fixed it on.

Now, should I paint it green to match the engine or leave it unpainted?Image

I don't know the answer, but whichever it is it would be colour as it was originally hammered in place by a brummie

My Moke appears to have mainly original engine paint - unrestored but patched I guess one could say - was barn find after over 30 years covered in chicken shit

Still, there appears to be some paint left on the engine plate, so I guess they may have been painted..... could be wrong of course....
