Thanks Richard but don't spend time on finding out what goes on cos I'm sure it will be well organised around the area and we are going to experience an ancient and soulful traditional ceremony which will invigorate our primeval belief in mankind , give us inspiration to save the planet , question our beliefs in Brexit and cure all the rust on my moke.
Or maybe watch a sunrise !!!

Join us for a moke runout at a ridiculously early time

No trouble, John. I want all my fellow Mokers to have a totally satisfactory time at this years National
Everything you need to know is here:

https://www.english-heritage.org.uk/vis ... -solstice/

I understand that the whole area is freely open, but there is a charge for parking.

I truly sympathise with all your wishes for a better, brexit free, world; but I rather think you will be pushing your luck on the non-rusting Moke bit. I suspect that St Halfraud is going to be a little more help than the sun god.

Thanks Richard ……….. Appreciate all your help.

No dogs allowed anywhere near the Stones. Maybe they pee on the base and then they all fall down. Not happened for 3 -4 - 5 thousand years

I find it very annoying that as I responsible dog owner , dogs are not allowed in so many places - we clean up as we go. And I suppose equally non-dog owners find unsupervised animals pooing NOT acceptable

Not a problem as we intend to enjoy this weekend - Rain … no way …….. Sunshine all the way

Many thanks to Richard for a wonderful weekend . He must have friends in high places to have organised the great weather we were blessed with.

I agree with George re the weather, we were really lucky judging by the week before and today! I only had some minor drips of rain on the way home on Monday, but it hasn't stopped raining today.
So Richard, whoever you contacted re the weather for the National, can you do the same again for the 'peaks' do!
