This event will take place over the weekend of Friday 30th April to Monday 1st of May. Taking in lesser known parts of Lancashire and Cumbria and guaranteed to be on wonderful country lanes with beautiful scenery. After an early start, there will be morning and afternoon rest halts, with a break for lunch at a suitable hostelry. For those wishing to round off the day, a group supper is being arranged. Detailed planning is underway by David Hunt, who is considering a number of routes, with a view to releasing details of locations and schedule in the new year.

Sounds really good David. Might try to extent the weekend so Arianna can see the Lake District. Thanks for lovely idea

Hi All
It's hoped that by the time of the event the UK Gov will have relaxed travel and gathering restrictions and that we will be able to run the event. However, we will always heed UK Government advise which might mean late cancellation. Let's hope that the vaccine roll out enables life to return to some normality.
Based just outside Ulverston at Bardsea Leisure https://www.bardsealeisure.co.uk/site-and-facilities/ there are hard standing pitches with electric hook up at £85 for the three days Fri through to Mon. Their facilities will be open.
There are a number of pitches reserved until Feb the 6th after which time anyone wishing to attend will have to take pot luck. Please let me know ASAP if you wish to attend.
Regrettably, it has not been possible to find a site that will accommodate tents that will have their facilities open.

Hi John
Thanks for the heads up. I'll add you to the planning spreadsheet.
No room at the Inn (Premier Ulverston)? Anyway Barrow Travel Lodge is but 15 mins down the road.

Unfortunately Premier Inns don't accept dogs so Travelodge but its fine as we are out all day and their beds and showers are great.
You were right , it is difficult to find a basic camp site in this area particularly as we want EHU
Fingers crossed we see you there
Arianna & John

The UKGOV roadmap out of lockdown will not allow group gatherings of 30 until at least the 17th of May so prevents us going ahead with the Canter.
Mothballed until 2022 I'll be in touch early next year
Keep on keeping safe
