Front Drum Drive Flange

Post by peterbradbury »

Hi,

How difficult should it be to fit the drive flange to the CV on a drum brake model? I'm struggling to get it on the end of the cv even without the hub/bearings there and I thought it would just slide in place?

Thanks

Peter

Probably a silly question……….but you have got a small cv on haven’t you? Not a disc brake version.

Did you find a solution Peter? I only ask as I’ve found the original drum set up for Hilary’s moke and could bring them over for you to try if you like.

Yes, it seems my slightly ham fisted first attempt at getting back together caused some damage to the splines on the CV. One new CV from my local mini 'specialist' and the flange will slide on
