When selling a vehicle (I have just sold 5) what do you put on your receipt?

Here is an example of one of mine.

RECEIPT

I, Doug G****, as owner the Moke vehicle confirm that there is no lien, loan or other charge or interest in this vehicle and that I own it free and clear:

confirm that there is no lien, loan or other charge or interest in this vehicle and that I own it free and clear and hereby acknowledge receipt of Bank Draft # XXXXXXXXXXX in the amount of **** thousand East Caribbean Dollars (EC$ xx,000.00) full and final payment from Mr Xxxxx Xxxxxxxx for the purchase for the above vehicle that is sold in the ‘as is’ condition with no guarantee or warranty, given, expressed or implied.

Certainly short and sweet.

I like to ensure and prompt that there is no basis for future argument by including "vehicle that is sold in the ‘as is’ condition with no guarantee or warranty, given, expressed or implied."

I truly have. £5 a minute and won me nowt…..but then again no one paying a few thou for a second hand thing is going to that expense.

That is a rather expensive lawyer (£5.00x60x60) £18,000.00 an hour

I don’t think your maths add up there

Another calculation:

£5.00 x 60 minutes = £300.00 and hour. Is that ex VAT ?

Sounds cheap.
