hi folks, My first couple of R/C model mokes were built using an ali FIRE EXIT sign with the aid of a Monodex cutter, a lovely piece of kit which cuts ali like butter with no distortion. The panels were pop-rivetted together.
The base chassis were Tamiya FROG and BOOMERANG, with uprated can motors...the frog having a 540 instead of 380.The BOOMERANG was 4WD, which was so unstable that the rear drive-shafts had to be removed to make the moke front wheel drive only.
The kits are still available I think, as retrro ?
ken..I prob would have built more, but collecting rare bikes, slot cars and scootering got in the way !

May have to look at some 'hop up' steering replacement parts as trying to get the Mini to go straight is verging on the impossible, I think due to the play in the kit parts.

Well managed to replace the suspension and steering and it now goes in a straight line! Parts were from Yeah Racing.

Now to concentrate on a Moke body for it!

Hi Chris. A good company. I have used them in the past. Your chassis looks lower than an M03. My M03 Moke needed a chunk cutting out. I now have a slim line 4 Wheel Drive chassis for the other shell.
