Rear seats needed for 1974 Australian Moke.
Hello all,
We're new to the Moke world.
Looking for a set of rear seats recently purchased a lovely restored 1974 Australian Moke.
If anyone is able to point me in the right direction as we would like them to match the fronts as seen in picture.
Kind regards
Paul

Hi,I think you will need to look for some low back seats, reason being if you fit a hood it won't clear the high back seats, but I'm sure some of the other members on here will confirm this for you.

Hi Shaun78,
That does make sense now you have said. Thank you. We are now thinking it would look better if it was to be a bench along the back instead of single seats. Think our hunt is now for a bench.

Hi Nigel,
Thank you for the link. Still nice to have the choice think bench seat would like nice but not sure how the seatbelts would work?

The rear seatbelts are just lap belts so they’d come through between the base and back of the seat

One of the local trimmers was making bench seats by sectioning a standard front seat and widening it. You'd want to be certain it was done properly, but it meant that the rear bench seat matched the appearance of the front seats.

Hi Tim,
Now you say this I’ve seen pictures on the net of someone doing this. It’s a good idea if I can’t find one already done.

I had thought about a rear bench seat similar to a 2CV and had started to make one from the spare high backed seat I had. Luckily I managed to find a set of low backed seats. The bench is available if you want it.

Hi Martin,
Thanks a good idea, I've ended up going for a Land Rover bench which I think works well plus it wasn't a arm and leg

Paul, I like that. I’m sure it will be easier to fit than my original seats. How it’s working out? Does it fold?
