The brackets for the remote shifter don’t match up. I’m going to have to modify them to suit.

It’s been a while since I’ve been able to work on the Moke. I picked up this old hood on eBay which will allow me to drill all the fixing holes before I get any painting done and allow me to make a template for a new hood.

A very rare 'denim' roof. Mine should have one of those, but the vinyl is seemingly impossible to source now. I assume that one will have shrunken and be too tight to do up properly?

The rear seats took ages to get squared up. I have a few holes in the frames to weld up.

I was worried about the seat frames scraping the bodywork when it’s painted. I sourced these nylon saddle washers off eBay to hold the seats slightly off the bodywork.

The rear bumper I have is twisted and doesn’t fit to the bodywork just how I would like it too. I’ve decided to make a replacement. Here’s how it stands to date.

I managed to find a steering cowl but I’m still after an ignition lock. Has anyone got one going spare?

Not a genuine one but near enough to do the job.

I think you did a top job fabricating the bumper, fits way better than the originals.
The center support extension where the tow ball goes isn't really needed anyway.
Cheers

Thanks Halfpint. The original one I have is badly twisted and has been annoying me for ages.

The new bumper is finished. I’ve sent both bumpers off to the galvanisers. The old one is going to be stripped back and both will then be galvanised and hopefully look the same.
