What type of piston rings does a 1973 australian mini moke 998 cc use

- Piston Rings 998cc Dished STD

- Piston Rings 998cc Flat Top STD

- Piston Rings 998cc Flat Top 0.020"

What you’re describing there is a list of piston types and sizes. The rings themselves could well be the same regardless of which piston you have inside the engine.

998 and 1098 pistons aren't the same as each other. They have the same diameter but their crown heights are different. Piston rings can vary depending on the manufacturer of the pistons. Its quite tricky to buy new rings for old pistons.

Well I have taken the plunge.

Took pictures on the number on top of the (flat top) piston and pictures of the side and the date of the engine. 8)

Fingers grossed.
