Received my new Membership Card today. What the heck? Black & white not even in colour?
Surely the Moke Club is not so financially destitute?

Re: New Membership Card
The card originally used could be run through an ink jet printer then peeled and pushed through the hole to produce the smooth laminated colored membership cards. This card, after a number of years, became obsolete and the company now produce a card that is laminated on both sides that can be run through a laser printer but not an ink jet one.
Our membership secretary who produces these cards on his own equipment only has a monotone laser printer. It should be noted that colour laser printers are expensive to buy and equally expensive to run therefore the membership cards are now monotone.
We could, of course, commission a bespoke card preprinted in colour under the laminate and then run these through the monotone printer to add name and number. BUT the print run would likely be large and expensive.
If this is something you both feel so passionately about why not try attending the AGM where you can put your point across or perhaps volunteer to do the job yourself ?

Re: New Membership Card
Oh dear,
It appears a nerve has been hit, following what I thought was a genuine and reasonable question. I never get to excited by much let alone passionate, and generally dial in, or certainly in the past attend AGM's in person or virtually as and when I am able, save working out of the country. Thankyou for the detailed explanation, perhaps a note to Club members informing them of such prior to issue, might have saved any uncertainty.
