I usually wash mine at the car wash with the pressure hose. It never gets all of the dirt out of the grain in the vinyl though, so I wipe it over with one of those silicone sprays (like armourall) and that brings it up shiny and black again.

How do silicone sprays (like armourall) work/affect on WHITE vinyl?

I'd like to know before I try it. :D

No difference, the spray is clear, the only problem is that any ingrained dirt gets darkened by the spray, which is good on a black roof, it concelas it well, but on a white roof probably means that you need to get it all out first. According to the manufacturers those type of sprays make the vinyl last a lot longer as they supposedly protect from UV and put plasticisers back in. I suspect that they aren't as good as they claim, but they do improve the surface appearance.
