Rear seat mounting bracket

Post by Tim »

Guys, I'm trying to source a bracket for mounting seats in the rear, its the inner bracket I'm after, it bolts into the heelboard and finishes level with the rear platform allowing standard seats to be bolted in the middle. I've never seen the bracket in the flesh, only a couple of ebay. Can anyone suggest a source? Does anyone know what models they were used on, or even a part number?

cheers

Nope, dunno, maybe.

Seems like they are a really rare part. No one seems to have heard of them in Australia and the only way I even know they exist is from a couple advertised on ebay in the UK. My parts manual doesn't list them and neither do m-parts or run-a-moke's websites. I was hoping someone might have a parts number or a proper description so I could see if any of the specialists had ever heard of them. I might hav eto make one I reckon.

If its alright with you, I'll forward a picture to m-parts and run-a-moke to see if they can help, as well as the Aussie Moke forum. I suspect I'll come up with a blank, but even so your photos will enable me to copy it I reckon.

Thanks very much

Bob, a drawing would be great, if I have to get one made I'll want it to be as authentic as possible, I've discovered that I can get away with fitting rear seats if I use original parts. Now I need to find them.

Nice drawing, thanks Bob, I'm off to sweet talk the guys in the workshop here, they might let me use their folding machine if I'm good to them.
