I use fine wet and dry emery if I have some. If I'm stuck somewhere I'll use anything that's abrasive enough

And don't forget a dab of dielectric grease... I use this stuff:

It's also an outstanding lubricant & stays where you put it.
Comes in an aerosol tube and squeezes out like cheese whiz.
