Cleaning electrical connections

What is the best method of cleaning electrical connections?

Sandpaper?

Chemical, if so which?

Other?

I use fine wet and dry emery if I have some. If I'm stuck somewhere I'll use anything that's abrasive enough :lol:

And don't forget a dab of dielectric grease... I use this stuff:

It's also an outstanding lubricant & stays where you put it.
Comes in an aerosol tube and squeezes out like cheese whiz. :D

If you have a part-time or an electric element that is not working properly, so sometimes the answer may be that you have a dirty connection. First of all let us clarify what a dirty connection is exactly. Dirty contact, when two or more wires or contacts does not make the proper connection, which has hindered the flow of electricity through them. Go to the car or an electronics store and find a good distributor of detergent
