I realise that a Bot is the Search machine gismo but what is a Crawler?

Well here its a slang term for a person who attempts to ingratiate themselves on their seniors by behaving in a sycophantic manner. Other terms commonly in use are "Teacher's Pet", "Suck" and "Brown Nose".
