Logging in or locked out

Post by Doug G »

I tried to log in just now.

I only clicked on 'Log In' once.

This message came up

#FF0000]You exceeded the maximum allowed number of login attempts. In addition to your username and password you now also have to solve the CAPTCHA below.

Then when tried again to log in and answered the security question "H#000080]ow many doors does a Moke have?" with '#408000]****'
I was told that I cannot log in without a password. ??

Tried again, inserted name, password and the number '0" for the security question and managed to get in.

Hope that this was just one of those 'hiccups'. :D

It's probably just a ploy to keep you entertained until your mag arrives next month Doug :D

Ahhhh, but it's a trick question....
When I went to register my Moke, I had to fill out a form that had checkboxes to describe the vehicle:
Two door
Four door
Station wagon
Pickup truck
Van
I told the nice lady behind the counter that none of those applied and she says,
"One of 'em has to work. How many doors does it have?"
Me, "None"
"Don't be silly. All cars have doors. Now, how many does it have?"
"Zero, nada, squat, none."
"Well, just check two* then..."

So, I believe I own the only "two door" Moke in the world. :D

*-A few days later, after getting license tags, I stopped at the title office and had the nice lady come out to look at the Moke.
"Well I'll be damned. That thing doesn't have any doors!"

#BF0000]THANKS DOUG#000000]'ve just had to go through the same rigmarole as you in order to log on - so it's all your fault

Does that mean I've got to start looking for a hardtop so's I can put two as the answer ?

I was also confronted with the "You exceeded the maximum allowed number of login attempts" message earlier today. My guess is that someone is trying to hack into our accounts (perhaps a new automated script). Please make sure your password is complex enough not to be easily guessed.

Another forum I'm on has been having problems with being really slow.According to the providers its due to being hit by a sustained hacker attack, its been going on for several days.

Everytime I log in it says I have the wrong username or password. I repeat using the same answers and it logs me in on 2nd attempt.
