Re: How was your summer
Oh I wondered what great adventures (moke wise) everyone had had this summer.

Re: How was your summer
Well its pretty much the depths of winter here. Which means I rarely get a chance to drive the Moke. This morning everything was looking good though, the forecast was for a fine day and I didn't have to deliver children to daycare. So I rugged up and made the commute. There was a bit of a dusting of snow on the top of the mountain and a little bit of frost at sea-level, but I have to drive over a high pass and down a valley to get to work. The sides of the road were white with frost and all the trees were sparkling, there was frost right across the road in a few places. The Moke ran quite well until I got to the top of the hill, but the downhill run was a bit too cold for it, the temperature gauge dropped well below running temperature and the engine lost power and was really fluffy. That meant that the heater was barely working. I pulled the choke out which helped a bit.
I figured that it would be best to drive as fast as I could to get to work and warm up.
I can't wait for the trip back home in the dark.

Re: How was your summer
Really, the only difference between summer and winter over here is the temperature of the rain
Come on summer
