Re: Looks very nice - but is it a Moke?
Year: 1963 MOT Expiry: 05/2014
Manufacturer: Austin Transmission: Manual
Model: MINI MOKE Fuel: Petrol
Colour: Green Seats: 4
Mileage: 257 Drive Side: Right-hand drive
Engine Size: 1,098 Previous Owners: 2
This is my Austin Mini Moke, which as you can see is in absolutely fantastic condition. Rebuilt in the 1990's using a gem shell from the ground up, it has only covered 257 miles in the last 20 years, yes just 257 miles. I have owned it for just over 4 years and only done 120 miles. I bought this off a close friend who owned it from 1991. I have had some updates done, including new leather seats, a bespoke cage with full inertia reel seat belts, uprated 8.4" vented disc brakes, super minifins, servo, adjustable suspension front & rear, quick shift, quick rack, supalight alloy wheels, LCB Exhaust Manifold, stainless steel silencer.
This has just been MOT'd, road tax is free as a classic car.
A must see for anyone who is looking for a moke or something a bit different
Year: 1963 ?? I understood that Mini Mokes were made from 1964 to 1993
The first production Mini Moke was manufactured in January 1964 at BMC's Longbridge factory in Birmingham, England. Production continued until late October 1968 when around 15,000 English Mokes had been produced.
I guess that this must be one of the prototypes . . . yeah right !
The most accurate thing must be the line 'or something a bit different'.The first pre-production prototype was produced in 1959 and a handful of other prototype Mini Mokes were made up until 1964,
Having a moking good time!
