Moke grille in chrome

Hi,

does anybody know if there ever was a chromed front grille available? A friend of me had one which was damaged by an accident and is now looking for a replacement.
Unfortunately he doesn´t know if it was original, aftermarket or "selfmade" and I have never seen one in a shop, ebay or somewhere else.
Any info is welcome.

Hi Daniel. This was probably done as an aftermarket item. getting things chromed in the 60's and 70's was quite common and not to expensive. Your friend may have to buy a grille and then get it treated.
