Forum Members at Moke50
Hi all,
as a foreign member of the Moke Club I only know a few of the forum members personally. The IMM/Moke50 event is the perfect place to meet a lot of you all. But how to identify all of you?
I believe there will be a lot of members not knowing each other. What about making some badges on which we all can write our nick names?
If there are members having similar thoughts I will look for possibilities to make the badges.
Comments are welcome!

Hi Daniel,
What a good idea! Perhaps nick names followed by real name!

Daniel,
I'm all for that.
I know a lot of the old crew, but none of the new. I first got to know the Moke Club in 1990, had ten years of fun, then took a thirteen year sabbatical for other life events!
I'm back now and need lots of introductions!
Badges with name and forum name would certainly be a step in the right direction, maybe country of origin too. Well volunteered!!!!
See you at the IMM on Thursday, I'll look out for your badge.
Roger
And Spot, you'll recognise him as the Teckel with a badge!

I should be easy to spot.
I'll be the Yank that looks somewhat like Ned Flanders from the Simpsons.....
Seriously, I figure there will be a bunch of us hanging around some sort of campfire along with an adult beverage. Names and faces should be easy at that point..... Remembering 'em is another thing alltogether....

Re: Forum Members at Moke50
Speaking of Mini 'n Moke events, I've got a busy few weeks ahead.....
This weekend is the "CanAm Mini 55 Challenge" at the Mid Ohio circuit. We should wind up with over 50 Minis racing that weekend. Which, in North America, is a really big deal.
The next weekend is Mini Meet East meets West. I'm flying up for a day to hang out in the parking lot and drink a beer or three with old friends.... It's during the 4th of July holiday which I know you guys don't really celebrate. (sore losers and all of that)
Then, at the end of July, I fly over for IMM....
Someplace in between all of that, I've got at least one business trip to install some parts in a brewery....
Pretty full schedule for a guy that a month ago couldn't walk to the end of my driveway without taking a break. (I just had a three lead pacemaker installed to replace the old two lead.) Seems to work as advertised. Haven't felt this good in years.
Oh, the wonders of modern medicine.....'
See you guys in a month or so.

Ok guys,
I will organize some badges and make a piece of paper with the forum design (hopefully the admins will allow to use the forum logo for that ).
See you all at Moke50!

Re: Forum Members at Moke50
Daniel,
I fully endorse your badge idea, nothing worse than not getting an introduction to someone or forgetting their name an hour later!
I have, however, noticed a slight flaw in your otherwise worthwhile plan.
How will you know which badge to give to which person......... ?
We could all do with a badge or something!
Roger

Re: Forum Members at Moke50
Hi Roger,
the badges will be left blank (just the forum logo) and every member can fill in his name and/or nick name himself. So everyone has just to find me or the info stand with the badges.
I believe there won't be more than 30-40 forum members (even less) interested in such an idea.
Maybe we also can get some more members active when knowing other members personally.
