Post by chris naish »

Hi Everyone
Yes, I know I'm posting this even before the clocks go back....but I've had the application form through my letterbox.... and our Club entry has to be in by 29 DECEMBER!!
So, if you'd like to join in the fun, with exclusive parking both at Crystal Palace and Brighton, a drive through the Sussex countryside, get in touch!!
All I need is : Registration number
T shirt size
Cheque to 'The Mini Moke Club' for £35
Large SAE
And send to me at my address in the magazine and I'll do the rest!
Chris.

I'm in. Missed last year because I had hoped to be having the old girl (50 last year) a facelift.

Remind me, is C5 (6" by 9") envelope size big enough?

I have just read that a new Central London ULEZ is coming into force in April which covers the same area as the Congestion Charge Zone but the ULEZ will be 24/7 unlike at present Monday to Friday only.
I normally travel to L2B from north - bottom M1 then Edgeware Rd , Marble Arch , Hyde Park Corner and A23. Does anyone know if this falls into Congestion Zone please ? Cost for ULEZ is £12.50 a day

Hi John..and all!
How I missed your post..I haven't a clue, but unfortunately, yes, this ULEZ is applicable to vehicles on the route you are suggesting. I have spoken to LSMOC and they have suggested going on the ULEZ website to enter registration number to see if your vehicle is exempt in any way. The only suggestion I have to save the fee is to go round the M25 to the south and head up the A21. Obviously costing more in fuel....but our little engines won't burn that much!
The run itself does not infringe the area.
Hope this helps
Chris.
