Alternator

Post by Doug G »

What size alternator does my Mini Moke (circa 1973 Aussie style) require:

On the Mini Sport site https://www.minisport.com/search/?cat=0 ... alternator

There are :
SKU GNU2521 Alternator - 65 amp - MPi 1997-01 £103.88
and
SKU GXE2851 Alternator - 55 amp 1989-96 £55.12
and
SKU GXE2211 Alternator - 16/17 ACR type - 45 amp 1970-80 SKU GXE2211 £51.35

Is there a number that I can find on the existing alternator?

That depends on the loads expected oh the system. If all you have is the basic lights then the smallest one is fine.

Only need larger when adding more lights, heater, music/amplifier etc.
