Winterizing your Mini Moke

Post by Doug G »

What do you do to winterize your Mini Moke?

Do you store in indoors or outdoors under a 'plastic' car cover?

Or do you drive it all year round?

I drive mine year round (when it is working) due to weather here.

.
Having a moking good time!

Im one of these people who firmly believe that a cars purpose is to be driven. Not stuck in a heated garage or purpose built room.
When I had the Cortina, it would go to work with me all year round (I did night shifts) and sometimes I had to scrape the ice off the inside of the windscreen.

Ive got into all sorts of problems at car shows, as I used to allow people to sit in the car, lean on it to have their picture taken etc.

I will continue to drive as much as possible here in Spain, I have a complete hood with sides so not much rain should come in.
We usually do a late night out in Altea in December so the Moke will be used even if its raining (will be easier to park as well)

If we were still in the UK it might be slightly different due to the tinworm caused by the salt on the roads.. The Tina had a nice thick layer of underseal that was reapplied every 2 years. :)
