We have this Mini Moke that we would like to determine the build date for. The Serial Number I found inside the engine compartment is
"A-ABIL-889095". Any ideas on how I can find this info?

I’d recommend for your first port of call the BMIHT website, Google bmiht and you’ll find it. If you cross their palms with silver to the tune of 43 of our British pounds they will provide you with a comprehensive heritage certificate. It’ll have all the info you need.

Some of the parts on it are date coded. The floor dip switch and the fuse box are two that I know of.

One of the Catalina Mokes that we bought several years ago is only several digits before yours and was built on 18th May 1966. However another one a few more digits before that one was built a week later on 25th May 1966.
