Diff Ratios

Hi all looking for a Diff for A+ 1275 with 185/70x13 tyres got a 4.3 diff comes to hills and it dies
which diff do i need ? any ideas out there many thanks Robin

sorry its a 3.4 diff i have in it at the moment not 4.3 robin

That makes sense now. I’ve got a 4:1 or 4:2 in mine with about the same tyres and it’s pretty good. When the engine first went in it had a standard diff and I had exactly the problems you’re having. One way to check is to stick a set of 12” wheels & tyres on it and see how it goes…….probably excellently as you’ll be replicating the saloon setup it’s geared for.
When you swap the diff don’t forget your Speedo will be a days march out of calibration, it’ll say you’re doing 60 when you’re at 40.
