Bonnet repair

What is the best way to reattach the framing under the bonnet to the sheet metal of the bonnet. I want to avoid having a spot weld be visible on the top.

Should I have it brazed?

I think whatever method you use in the welding sense will lead to some distortion.
The bonnet will have been spot welded origionally I would have thought. Perhaps a small tack weld with a mig welder would do it best ?
